An brief description on SMP

Scholar Media Publishing Company (SMP), founded in 2011, previous name Spring Media Publishing, is an international publisher specializing on open journal publishing and service, particularly in medical field. With the abundant resources and rich experiences in international medical publishing, SMP has been developing rapidly since its foundation. Up to now, SMP has established close cooperation relationships with more than ten medical institutions/associations regarding various journal publishing projects. These institutions/associations include Euro-EUS Scientific Committee and Asia-Pacific EUS Task Force, Latin American Chapter of EUS, Paoli-Calmettes Institute (France), International Society of Digital Medicine, International Society of Translational Sciences, CHU Brugmann University Hospital, Peking University Health Science Center, The First Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Peking Union Hospital National Key Laboratory for Rheumatology, China Medical University Shengjing Hospital, The First hospital of Zhengzhou University, The First Hospital of Harbin University, etc. Among the more than 30 journals, Endoscopic Ultrasound, as the first journal which has be publishing for almost 10 years, obtained recognition of the experts in that field within a very short time, and the international indexing system (Index Copernicus Journals Master List) and database (EBSCO-CINAHL), Scopus, SCI-E (IF: 5.725), PubMed/PubMed Central have included the journal. In addition, Journal of Translational Internal Medicine is one of the well-developed journals with a latest impact factor of 3.451. SMP has launched more than 20 journals, with 10 more in launching process, and is going to launch the rest journals mentioned above in 2023 and coming future, and these journals involves multiple medical subjects such as translational medicine, endocrinology, cardiology, gynaecology and obstetrics, neurology, surgery, critical care medicine, nutrition, etc. From 2013, SMP started a strategic cooperation with Wolters Kluwer regarding publishing journals. From 2016, SMP established a partnership with De Gruyter and in this year 2021. In from the year 2022, SMP started cooperation with Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. Thus, SMP is going to enter a stable and rapid developing era.

What does SMP do? SMP focuses on:

Pre-publishing stage: Providing international publishing strategy and consultation;
In-publishing stage: Journal publishing and publishing management;
Post-publishing stage: Editing, translation, language polishing, paging and image re-production, digital publishing service, database application, etc.
